The great building of the ThyssenKrupp Quarter typically form a unified set of individual buildings with ‘green carpet’ is lined with rows of trees. To maintain a higher characteristic of urban planning, then JSWD Chaix & Morel Architects and displays these buildings with compact design and homogeneous, resulting a sustainable union effect. Broadly speaking, the principle design adequate for the new building this campus known as “shell to the core”, where all the buildings in the quarter was designed as an L-shaped building individual. The result is architecture of the central office (Q1), the Q2 forum, neighboring administration buildings Q5 and Q7 are clearly centered. Two façades are presented overlooks the center of this architectural work, creates outside area, so that the building will own the outdoor service. The outer facades change the “rough shell” image. The building of Q1 is completed with horizontal slats as the outdoor sunshield define the characteristic of “rough shell”.
